Parliamentary Event for Young People With Arthritis
Wednesday 4th June 2014
Conservative MP David Amess, alongside author and campaigner Lauren Vaknine is hosting a Parliamentary event to be held at the House of Commons on Wednesday 4th June. This event is a breakthrough for Lauren’s campaigning, and for Parliament as it is the first health related event not sponsored or backed by pharmaceutical companies, as was Lauren’s wish and goal. The event will be sponsored by Holland and Barratt and has two objectives:

  1. To educate doctors in the importance of early diagnosis
  2. The second aim and main objective of the event is to teach people how to live healthily once they have been diagnosed. This will mean educating patients and their families when it comes to diet, supplements and general health and using those tools as a first resort before medication

Lauren will be speaking about her experiences with integrated medicine, alongside four other speakers

Lauren will be a respondent speaker at this important event for the medical industry

Sponsored Dog Walk
Sunday 6th April 2014

Lauren is hosting a sponsored dog walk to raise money for homeopathic veterinary research for the British Homeopathic Association. The walk will take place at midday on Sunday 6th April at Mill Hill Park, North West London. The donation is £5 per person and all the proceeds will go into research.

CAM for BHA in Norwich
Wednesday 23rd October 2013

Lauren will be doing two talks on behalf of the British Homeopathic Association in Norwich on Wednesday 23rd October 2013. The first talk will be for healthcare practitioners and the second will be for the general public where she will be reading an extract from her book and signing copies

Lauren will be signing copies of her book at WH Smith, Borehamwood from 10am

Lauren will be giving a talk about her journey with arthritis and how she overcame it and lost the wheelchair
